Our Landscape Lighting Services Include:
- path, garden, and accent lighting
- low-voltage LED systems
- design first, then install
Landscape lighting is a low voltage system, and that is what makes it worth doing properly. A 12-volt run is safe to place close to planting beds, walkways and steps, it draws very little power, and it can be extended as a garden fills in. The difference between a system that looks designed and one that looks decorated is almost entirely in the placement and the aiming, which is why we design first and install second.
A typical LumaLux landscape lighting installation covers three jobs at once. Path and walkway lighting makes the route from the driveway to the door safe after dark. Garden and bed lighting gives depth to planting that disappears at night. Accent and uplighting picks out the trees, columns and stonework that give the house its shape, so the front elevation still reads as a house rather than a silhouette.
We install low voltage LED fixtures on a properly sized transformer, with the runs buried and the connections made to last through freeze and thaw. Every system is set up and handed over with training, so the scenes and timing are yours to change rather than something you have to call us about.
The design consultation is free, and it happens at your house after dark where the decisions are actually visible. LumaLux is the outdoor lighting arm of Parker Electric, licensed and insured, and we serve the western suburbs of Chicago and Middle Tennessee.
